2. Service Estimates and Contracts
Free Estimates
We provide free, no-obligation estimates for painting projects within our service area. Estimates are prepared using the details you share along with a visual review of the property.
Estimate Accuracy
Your final price may change if:
- The project scope changes after the estimate is issued
- Hidden damage or conditions are found, such as rot, mold, or lead paint
- Extra preparation work becomes necessary
- Material prices shift significantly
If anything changes, we will let you know and obtain approval before carrying out any additional work.
Service Agreements
After you approve an estimate, we will provide a written service agreement that outlines:
- Detailed scope of work
- Materials and paint brands to be used
- Total cost and payment schedule
- Projected start and completion dates
- Warranty terms
Work will not begin until both parties have signed the agreement.
3. Payment Terms
Deposits
A deposit may be required before work begins. The deposit amount will be listed in your service agreement and is usually 25–50% of the total project cost.
Payment Schedule
- Deposit: Due when the service agreement is signed
- Progress payments: May apply to larger projects
- Final payment: Due when the work is completed to a satisfactory standard
Accepted Payment Methods
We accept cash, check, credit card, and electronic bank transfers. Credit card payments include a 3% processing fee.
Late Payments
Any unpaid balance older than 15 days from the invoice date may be charged a 1.5% monthly late fee. Warranty coverage may be paused until the account is paid in full.
4. Scheduling and Project Timelines
Scheduling
We work to accommodate your preferred timeline whenever possible. Project dates are estimates and can shift because of:
- Weather conditions such as rain, extreme heat, or cold
- Material availability
- Permit requirements
- Unexpected site conditions
Delays
We are not responsible for delays caused by factors outside our control, including severe weather, supply chain interruptions, or acts of God. If delays occur, we will communicate them promptly and try to reduce any disruption.
Access to Property
You agree to provide reasonable access to the work area while the project is underway, including:
- Removing furniture and personal belongings from work areas
- Keeping pets and children away from active work zones
- Providing access to water and electricity
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Customer Cancellation
You may cancel your service agreement:
- Within 3 business days of signing: Full refund of deposit
- After 3 business days but before work starts: Deposit may be kept to offset scheduling and material expenses
- After work has begun: You are responsible for the cost of completed labor and purchased materials
Rescheduling
We know plans can change. If you need to reschedule, please notify us at least 48 hours ahead of time. We will make reasonable efforts to find a new time that works for both parties.
Company Cancellation
We may cancel a project if:
- Unsafe working conditions exist
- Hazardous materials such as asbestos or extensive mold are discovered
- Payment terms are not followed
- The scope of work changes substantially from the original agreement
6. Warranty and Guarantee
Workmanship Warranty
Aurora Paint Pros offers a 2-year limited warranty on workmanship for residential projects. This warranty covers:
- Peeling, blistering, or flaking caused by improper application
- Visible brush marks, roller marks, or inconsistent coverage
- Paint failure caused by inadequate surface preparation
Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by moisture intrusion, structural movement, or settling
- Damage caused by the customer or third parties
- Fading from UV exposure
- Surfaces not prepared by Aurora Paint Pros
- Previously painted surfaces with hidden adhesion problems
Warranty Claims
To submit a warranty claim, send us a written notice with photos and a description of the issue. We will inspect the area and decide on the appropriate remedy, which may include repair or repainting at our discretion.
7. Customer Responsibilities
By using our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate details about the property and project needs
- Disclose known issues such as lead paint, water damage, or structural concerns
- Obtain any required homeowner association approvals
- Keep pets and family members safe during the project
- Remove or protect valuable and fragile items
- Provide reasonable access to the work area
- Share concerns with us as soon as possible
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law:
- Aurora Paint Pros' total liability for any claim related to our services will not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service at issue.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of use, inconvenience, or property damage not directly caused by our negligence.
- We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, hidden defects, or damage caused by customer-supplied materials or instructions.
9. Insurance and Licensing
Aurora Paint Pros maintains:
- General liability insurance to help protect against accidental property damage
- Workers' compensation insurance for our employees
- All required state and local business licenses
Proof of insurance is available upon request.
10. Intellectual Property
All Website content, including text, images, logos, graphics, and project photos, belongs to Aurora Paint Pros or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws.
You may not:

If the issue cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree to try mediation before moving to litigation. Mediation will be handled by a mutually agreed-upon mediator in Arapahoe County, Colorado.
Arbitration
If mediation does not resolve the dispute, it will be settled through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules.

Class Action Waiver

16. Force Majeure
Aurora Paint Pros is not liable for delays or failures to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

- Supply chain disruptions
- Labor shortages
- Power outages
17. Lead Paint Disclosure
For homes built before 1978, federal law under the EPA Renovation, Repair, and Painting Rule may require lead-safe work practices. Aurora Paint Pros:
- Is EPA Lead-Safe Certified (where applicable)
- Will follow required containment and cleanup procedures
- May require additional testing before work begins
- Is not liable for lead paint conditions that existed before our work
Customers must disclose any known lead paint conditions before work begins.
18. Environmental and Safety Compliance
We follow all applicable federal, state, and local rules related to:
- Paint disposal and environmental protection
- Workplace safety (OSHA standards)
- Building codes and permit requirements
- Hazardous material handling
19. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest will remain in full force and effect.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with your service agreement and our Privacy Policy, make up the full agreement between you and Aurora Paint Pros regarding the Website and services. They replace any prior agreements or understandings.
21. Changes to Terms
